Preparing for Open House and My New Bees

Preparation for our newest bees.  Decided this year to prepare the hive with a little more color.

As parents entered the Busy Bee hive they saw our Be Kind sign as they signed in ....The sign simply says...."Be Kind..grab a bee and donate if you can!!"  The bee's had helpful items like notebook paper for our B.E.E folders, Expo Markers, no touch soap refills, googly eyes, etc.

using a dish draining rack to hold folders....each folder has a Busy Bee name on it and parents were asked to grab the folder with their child's name....(this helps me know who I'm missing :)).  This rack was later moved to our writing center to hold notebooks, pencils and pens. 

Just a quick classroom overview.  This is that parents saw as they entered.  The classroom is setup to pass ECERS, and to be inviting and welcoming to each child.....

Each child needs his or her own work display area....so here we go.... Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!
